Hi guys
Haven’t posted anything in a while. Sorry about that.
Started this illustration in class and then continued at home. The patterns/outfits were based on pages (178, 179, and 184) in a Feb issue of Vogue. I do not own these pages. I only used them as reference.
Yes its a bloody overkill hence the title. I need to learn to be more selective. Maybe if I completely separate the figures….. hmm
On another note, summer feels like its already started. Unfortunately heat loves to linger inside the house.. Sigh.
Will be posting more illustrations though so please stay in tuned!
Till then stay safe always

PS. Have you seen bbc’s Sherlock?

Fifth piece. FIT Fashion Illustration AAS Show.
Yes… It’s TOP of BigBang (Korean). Inspired by his character Vic from Iris (drama)
This piece was so rushed. There was supposed to be a female figure in this piece but I didn’t have enough time. I really wish I had more time to work on this. I’m not happy with this one at all @_@ SIGH….
That’s all for the AAS Show. Hope you enjoyed the pieces.

Third piece. Accordion portfolio. FIT Fashion Illustration AAS Show.
Painted in gouache and edited in Photoshop. You could call this a tribute piece since every character in this piece is based on a real person. I used a photo I took in Incheon airport as my reference for the background.
This piece is actually a tribute to the fashion illustration class of 2011 in FIT and also to Professor Karen Santry who did so much for us. I painted her as a teenage girl on the far right side of the page.
The girl sitting next to her is Michelle Quintero also a brilliant artist and one of my classmates. She does wonders with colored pencils and is famous in our class for drawing faces on her projects that look just like her! She draws a lot of laughing faces!
The guy behind her is Elvis Towers also a classmate and president of www.fashionartnyc.com This guy is behind our class site and I’m pretty impressed how he’s always giving us updates on the site and asking us if there’s anything we need to improve.
The girl sitting on the back is Minnie Wang who looks cute and illustrates the cutest girls! She is the vice president of fashionartnyc.com and one of my closest friends in FIT! Both her traditional pieces and digital works are beautiful and colorful! Also soulful! AND she was featured in Oscar De La Renta’s PR girl’s tumblr!!
Okay now lets move to front characters Jimmy Skarbek and Meagan Morrisson! Both are awesome fashion illustrators! CHECK THEM OUT!!!
Last but not least, who is that girl in the back holding a camera? She’s my sister Hannah! She’s the one who updates ESIUOL ARAM. She actually started that blog without my knowledge. She likes my class works the most. She takes pictures of them and posts them when I’m too lazy to do it myself xD Thanks sis!!
On more thing before I go. The word UBOS means “down” or “low” in visaya. It is also part of the name of the place where I used to live- Poblacion Ubos, Loay. Sentimental much? ~_~
That’s all about I can say for this piece. Two more to go!!

Second piece in my accordion portfolio for FIT Fashion Illustration AAS Show up till May 24, 2011. *Edited: The exhibition is in the E Building (Special Exhibitions, basement).
The setting is Times Square in New York City. I particularly picked this place because in the two years I’ve been in FIT, I would always find myself walking around Times Square several times in a month.
The figures were all drawn separately in class and then combined and colored in Photoshop.
Three more pieces to go!
On another note, there are a few people who told me that they weren’t sure if I was okay with mailing them postcards internationally. I’m okay with mailing postcards outside USA. I still have copies so if you want one please email me at mara.louise@ymail.com

Postcards

Hi guys here are the postcards I did of Tricia. YES I got her permission to do these. Thank you again Tricia >_<!!! I just can’t say enough thank you’s ~_~ I’m sorry if it’s getting annoying @_@

Okay SO black and white is the original sketch. The colored version is the postcard (NOTE: the actual print has my name and website).

Postcard 1 (3 copies left)

Postcard 2 (2 copies left)

Postcard 3 (4 copies..)

Postcard 4 (taken) A combination of all three portraits. This one’s too strong and bright yeah? +__+

I did these before the portfolio piece because they were originally for W Hotel. I only have a few copies so if you want one, let me know right away!

If you want one, email me the postcard number and your address so I can mail it to you. Like I said in my earlier post, these are free! I can also mail it international so if you’re outside USA it’s totally fine!

Get your copy now =)

PS. I can only send one copy per person. Sorry :(

First of five pieces from my accordion portfolio in the FIT Fashion Illustration AAS Show 2011.

Thank you so much to Tricia Gosingtian for letting me use her as a model/reference. Some of you may already seen this piece since she featured it in her blog as well. Thanks again Tricia!!!

I originally wanted to show a full figure in this piece but once I started putting the illustrations together, I realized it looked better to just show the top half of the figure. Here’s how she would have looked as a full figure.

I really like the patterns on this full figure piece. It took a really long time to do them so I was a bit sad that I couldn’t include them in this portfolio piece.. but I did manage to squeeze the pattern in one of my other pieces! I will post that one soon!

Apart from these illustrations, I also did four postcards of Tricia. I was supposed to hand them out during the W Hotel opening but due to certain circumstances, I wasn’t able to. I still have the prints so if anyone wants them, let me know. They’re free as well, however, they will have my name and website because they’re supposed to be promotional cards. The ones I’ll be posting here won’t have the text. The text will only be in the actual print/postcard. I will also post them today so keep a lookout for that.

Speaking of postcards, I just ordered 50 prints of this postcard. I’m giving them out for free so if you’d like a copy, please let me know!

For the nth time, THANK YOU SO MUCH TRICIA!!  >_<!!!
