Hi guys,

I will be doing live portraits for customers (fashion illustration style) at the Lord & Taylor Fashion Night Out in New York City 5th avenue at 39th street this Thursday Sept. 6, 2012. I will be at the 5th floor from 6 pm to 10 pm. Hope to see you there!

Did this for class.. We didn’t really have to do a fully rendered piece but I felt like doing a digital painting so this happened. I want to know more about Digital Painting and Oil Painting. Just wish I had more time in my hands @_@.

Oh and even though I absolutely hate it, I will start signing all my illustrations from now on…

I'm thinking about getting into FIT to study Fashion Merchandising when I graduate from high school, but I'm afraid I won't be able to get in. Was it difficult to get accepted??

It took a lot of hard work especially with the portfolio. I went for Illustration so I don’t really know how to get into Fashion Merchandising. Sorry my answer doesn’t really answer your question but I’m sure if you do all the requirements you’ll get in!! Also, I’m really sorry I didn’t reply for so long ><!!

Bloody Overkill

Hi guys 

Haven’t posted anything in a while. Sorry about that. 

Started this illustration in class and then continued at home. The patterns/outfits were based on pages (178, 179, and 184) in a Feb issue of Vogue. I do not own these pages. I only used them as reference. 

Yes its a bloody overkill hence the title. I need to learn to be more selective. Maybe if I completely separate the figures….. hmm

On another note, summer feels like its already started. Unfortunately heat loves to linger inside the house.. Sigh. 

Will be posting more illustrations though so please stay in tuned!

hi my name is emily & im starting FIT for illustration in the fall! do you have any good advice?

I’m really sorry for the late reply.. Good advice… Hmm Here’s a few

• Take your liberals as early as possible! If you take them later they’re gonna bite your behind! Not kidding!!
• Use all the resources FIT offers you! *coughtheygivelotsoffreemagaziesinthecenterabuilding7thfloorcough* lol they’re mostly fashion too!!
• Check flyers for special events (ie paint tote bag, paint piggybank, make crafts, etc) Even if you don’t participate THERE WILL ALWAYS BE FOOD. So if you’re feeling hungry but you don’t want to spend money, go to the Center!
• They have free band aids in the health center so if you cut yourself, go get (some) *wink* No seriously if you got hurt go to the Health Center. It’s all free no need to be shy!
• If you loose your ID, always check with Security. I lost mine once. I almost gave up but I checked security and they had it! Saved me $25! Your first school ID is free but if you loose it, you have to pay to get a new one!

That’s all I have for now I guess.. I have more in an earlier post too!
