Sherlock / A Study in Ink

Not Study in Pink. That’s the title of the first episode of bbc’s Sherlock. Aired last year and this year my current obsession… well I guess at least in the beginning of summer vacation. My sister got me addicted to it. Only 3 episodes… Why!!! I want more!!
The black and white illustration above is just one of 10. The whole series will be posted in my sister site Esiuol Aram. One or two illustrations will be posted each day starting today weekly. All the illustrations were done on black ink-tinted paper, which is why it’s called “A Study in Ink”.
For the past few days I’ve been replaying and listening to Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John (Martin Freeman) solve crimes together while I paint or draw in my room. I don’t know why it’s so addicting!

BBC’s Sherlock is a modern-day remake of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. I’ve read all the books (and I still feel like re-reading them). I also watched Jeremy Brett play the part of Sherlock Holmes in the Granada series. This time Benedict Cumberbatch holds the honor of playing Sherlock from BBC. Benedict’s brilliant. Martin is a pretty good Watson too.
Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss (Myrcroft Holmes), both writers of Doctor Who, are behind it all. Thumbs up to these two for making this idea (of a modern Sherlock) into a reality!
I’m pretty excited for Season 2. It’s coming out in the Fall. I can’t wait!!!!
